Portraits That Reflect Leadership and Authenticity
When Brigitte Roy, Country Manager Switzerland for Cognizant, was featured in CIO Business World, I had the privilege of creating the portraits for the article — including the one chosen for the cover. The session spanned two locations: the striking Primetower offices in Zurich and a more personal, quieter setting in Zug. Each portrait captured a different facet of her leadership – confident, precise, yet profoundly human.
Laying the foundation with corporate headshots
This wasn’t our first collaboration. I had previously photographed Brigitte for her professional headshots, and that prior work laid the foundation of trust. As The Headshot Coach, I specialize in helping people feel at ease in front of the camera – especially those who usually aren’t. Brigitte had mentioned how little she enjoys being photographed. That’s exactly where coaching and preparation make the difference.
Long-term gains of a company branded photoshoot
When someone is being interviewed for their leadership, it’s not about staging an image. It’s about revealing presence, not just polished, but personal. Someone who breaks barriers, as the article describes, deserves portraits that are both powerful and real.
Brigitte represents innovation, clarity, and resilience – and I’m proud these values come through in the images we created. These portraits can now be used beyond editorial features for corporate presentations, internal and external communication, and future media opportunities. Since I had planned for different formats, it easy to repurpose these images for any usage.
Thank you to Cognizant and to CIO Business World for the trust. And thank you, Brigitte, for your quiet strength and openness. It’s always a pleasure working with people who lead by example – on and off camera.
