Shortly before Aude Gandon relocated from Switzerland to New York to join The Estée Lauder Companies as Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, I had the pleasure of creating a series of executive portraits with her at her home near Montreux. These were delivered in both, color and the traditional black and white Executive Leadership portraits.

Working closely with one of the company’s make-up artist and hairstylist, we created her official leadership portraits on neutral dark background alongside a more personal series featuring Aude in her living room, sitting in her Eames chair, surrounded by the bookshelves of her apartment. This setting allowed us to show another side of her: accomplished and confident, yet warm, engaging and unmistakably herself.

Meeting Aude was every bit as stimulating as photographing her. Our shared points of reference from the advertising world and interational companies like Nestlé, where she served as Global Chief Marketing Officer, leading its marketing and digital transformation or agencies like McCann led to a wonderful exchange with a brilliant, generous and exceptionally engaging woman.
