Headshots and Group Portraits in Terre Sainte, Vaud
Nine municipalities. Nine board members. And one photographic identity designed to stand the test of time.
When ARSCO SA commissioned me to photograph its Board of Directors during one of its meetings, the objective went beyond creating a collection of professional headshots.
The challenge was to establish a consistent, repeatable portrait style that would allow future board members to be photographed in exactly the same visual language.
Professional Board Portraits, Built for Continuity
Based in Coppet, in the canton of Vaud, ARSCO SA manages essential educational, cultural and sports infrastructure for the nine municipalities of Terre Sainte, near Geneva. Its Board of Directors brings together representatives from all nine municipalities, working towards a shared vision for the region.
For the individual executive headshots, I established a cohesive photographic approach, carefully aligning lighting, composition, framing and background.
Expert Coaching on Facial Expression
Equally important was guiding each person through subtle adjustments in posture and facial expression, creating portraits that communicate confidence, professionalism and approachability without sacrificing personality.
The result is more than a uniform collection of portraits. It is a photographic standard that can evolve with the organisation. When new board members join, their portraits can be integrated seamlessly, preserving ARSCO’s visual identity across its website, publications and institutional communications.

A Group Portrait Between Two Downpours
The individual portraits were only part of the assignment. We also wanted to capture the board together in a group photograph.
The weather, however, had other plans: With rain showers repeatedly interrupting the day, we made the most of a brief dry window between two downpours to bring everyone together for the group portrait. Sometimes, creating a great team photograph is as much about timing and adaptability as it is about photographic technique.
