The LinkedIn Profile Refresher: A Reunion With Former Clients and Their Careers

Smile – When Former Clients Feel Like Old Friends

Lately, I’ve been seeing a pattern. A rather flattering one. People are coming back. Not just any people – clients from years ago. One walked into the studio last week and said, “Patric, we worked together almost 10 years ago. I need to look like I’ve levelled up, not aged out.”

Fair enough.

And honestly? It felt like catching up with old friends. No awkwardness. Just an unspoken “you again – finally.”

It reminded me of something I used to say when I ran that beautiful yoga studio years ago: Yes, it’s great when someone leaves smiling after class. But the real win? It’s when they arrive back smiling.

That’s when you know the work landed. Not once. But consistently.

So when clients circle back after two, five, ten years to update their LinkedIn profiles, I don’t just see another headshot to capture. I see proof that the first portrait did something. It worked. It opened doors. And it stuck with them long enough to want me again.

If your profile pic hasn’t grown with you, if you’re still clinging to that “it’ll do” shot from three job titles ago… or if you just want that feeling of “yes, this is how I want to show up”

Consider this your friendly nudge: Come back with a smile. Or book your first session and see why people keep returning.

Your career evolved. Your headshot should too.

A big thank you to Patric.
I used your services nearly 10 years ago, and upon returning, I found your professional approach even more refined. A photo session with you is a warm exchange, and the results are top-notch. There are options closer to where I live, but none offer the same level of quality and human connection that you provide.
